Howie Hawkins, the Green Party candidate for Governor, will attend the NY State Fair on Thursday, September 2. Joining Hawkins will be Michael Donnelly, the Green Party candidate for Assembly Member from the the 119th District, and some young reporters from the South Side of Syracuse.

"As we visit exhibits and talk to fair goers, we will be doing a workshop for the these young people on how to cover an event, ask questions, and write a story for a community newspaper," said Hawkins.

Hawkins will be ready to discuss his farm and food policy statement with the media which calls for a shift to organic agriculture and support for family farms, cooperative food processing, and healthier foods.

At 5:30 pm outside the State Fair's Main Gate, Hawkins will join the Syracuse Peace Council protest of the Reaper Drones piloted from Hancock Air Base.
