THIS IS A NOTE FROM HOWIE HAWKINS, A NATIONAL GREEN PARTY LEADER.
James Galbraith, progressive economist and VP of ADA, called for a third party in this speech to ADA last month. Here is the quote:
"The Democratic Party has become too associated with Wall Street. Thisis a fact. It is a structural problem. It seems to me that we asprogressives need --- this is my personal position --- we need to draw aline and decide that we would be better off with an under-funded,fighting progressive minority party than a party marked by obviousduplicity and constant losses on every policy front as a result of thereversals in our own leadership."
Galbraith is indicative of where many progressive Democrats are at. It is time for the Greens to step up and show them they have a viable political home.
