Howie Hawkins, the Green Party candidate for governor, will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, at Confluence Park in Binghamton.

Hawkins will discuss energy issues, comparing his proposals to those of Democratic contender Andrew Cuomo in his energy position paper. This will include the issue of hydrofracking for natural gas and the impact on local water systems, including rivers. Hawkins will also discuss the recent IG report on the bidding to install lottery terminals at the Aqueduct race track.

Hawkins will be joined by Cecile Lawrence, the Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate for the seat presently held by Kristen Gillibrand.
