Howie Hawkins will bring his Green Party campaign for governor to Auburn Thursday, not Wednesday as printed in today's edition of The Citizen.

Hawkins will hold an event at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Universalist Unitarian Society Building, 607 N. Seward Avenue. He will be speaking at the event and attendees will have an opportunity to come meet Hawkins and listen to his platform and positions.

This isn't Hawkins' first political campaign.

He ran for mayor of Syracuse in 2005 and U.S. Senate in 2006. He also ran for Syracuse Common Council in 2009.

Hawkins is credited with being one of the founders of the Green Party in the United States.
