GLENS FALLS -- The Upstate Greens announced it will host a "meet and greet" reception with Green gubernatorial candidate Howie Hawkins at 6 p.m. on Oct. 23 at Rock Hill Bakehouse Cafe on Exchange Street in Glens Falls.

Hawkins, of Syracuse, was a cofounder in 1976 of the anti-nuclear organization Clamshell Alliance, and a co-founder in 1984 of the Green Party in the United States.

Advance reservations are suggested, as seating is limited.

Tickets, for a suggested donation of $25, will be available beginning Tuesday morning at Rock Hill Bakehouse Cafe.
