There's a familiar saying – always a bridesmaid, never a bride. A similar sentiment could describe the Green Party candidate for governor.
Howie Hawkins has been described as a perennial candidate. He's run for office 17 times for federal, state and local positions and he has never held a single seat. The green party candidate does not seem bothered by that track record, though. This time around, he's running for governor and he made it official last month when he collected nearly double the signatures necessary to get on the ballot.
Howie joined Liz Benjamin in studio this evening to discuss why he's running again.
