Syracuse Post-Standard

November 6th, 2008

Perennial candidate Howie Hawkins, who on Tuesday lost an election for the 14th time, said Wednesday he is already considering his next campaign.

Hawkins said he may try to win one of two Syracuse councilor-at large seats up for election in 2009.

A Green Party candidate, Hawkins received 8,855 votes, or 3 percent, in his 25th Congressional District race against Democrat Dan Maffei, the winner, and Republican Dale Sweetland.
